New FlashLink® Wireless Temperature Sensor for Cryogenic Applications
Excellent for remote monitoring and reporting of temperature conditions down to -80°C/-112°F

PLEASANTON, CA - DeltaTRAK, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cold chain management solutions and portable environmental test instruments, announces the new FlashLink® Wireless -80°C Sensor with External Thermistor Probe for cryogenic applications. The sensor, composed of a highly accurate temperature thermistor and a robust 418 MHZ radio transmitter, is a new member of the FlashLink® Wireless System.

Models 20151 is designed and tested to measure cryogenic temperatures down to -80°C or -112°F. This sensor is especially well suited for remote monitoring and reporting of temperatures of cryogenically stored materials, such as body organs and epoxy sheets, in the range of -80°C to -20°C (-112°F to -4°F).  The sensor comes with a 2.75-m (9-ft.) teflon coated extension cable which is connected to the thermistor.  The playing card deck-sized sensor is made from durable, impact-resistant ABS plastics and is N.I.S.T. traceable, FCC Part 15-compliant and with CE Mark for the European market.

The DeltaTRAK FlashLink® Wireless System, introduced in October 2004, is designed to automatically measure, record and report environmental (temperature or humidity) conditions at remote locations and to announce violations of user-defined temperature levels via three alarm broadcast options. The system transmits and receives monitored environmental data using well established RF technology and the unlicensed 418 MHz or 900 MHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) radio frequency bands.  System components include temperature and humidity sensors (with radio transmitters), repeaters (transceivers that re-broadcast signals, at higher power levels, received from sensors) and receivers (radio signal collectors that receive and process radio signals sent by any broadcasting unit tuned to the same radio frequency).  A personal computer equipped with the FlashLink Wireless Manager software records and reports the temperature data, collected by the receiver, to user-defined formats. Up to 100 wireless temperature and/or humidity sensors can be added and assigned to a receiver.  The FlashLink Wireless System meets or exceeds HACCP, QA and regulatory guidelines for the maintenance of environmental monitoring records and the FlashLink Wireless Manager software is FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.
