The FlashLink
Wireless Dry-Ice [-80°C] Sensor with External Thermistor Probe is
designed and tested to measure cryogenic temperatures down to
-80°C
or -112°F. Composed of a highly accurate temperature thermistor
and
a robust 418MHz radio transmitter, this sensor is especially well
suited for remote monitoring and reporting of temperatures of
cryogenically stored materials, such as body organs and epoxy sheets,
in the range of -80°C to -10°C (-112°F to
14°F).
The sensor comes with a 1.2m (4ft) teflon coated extension cable
which is connected to the thermistor. The playing card
deck-sized
transmitter is made from durable, impact-resistant ABS plastics and is
N.I.S.T. traceable, FCC Part 15-compliant and with CE Mark for the
European market.
Installing the sensor is as easy as placing it anywhere up to
600 feet away from the nearest repeater, and pressing the
"ON" button. A FlashLink Wireless Repeater
(model 20121) should be placed between the sensor and the 900MHz
Receiver to
enable communication between the
sensor and the receiver. Potentially an unlimited number of
repeaters can
be placed throughout the facility, giving unlimited
scalability. Up
to 100 of -80°C Sensors
with External Thermistor Probe (or mixture of the four types of
sensors: models
20124, 20126, 20129 and 20151) can be monitored by one
computer
server or multiple computer servers. Receivers can be set up
inside the facility to monitor hundreds of sensors.
Reasons for using the FlashLink Wireless System: There are many
locations to be monitored
These locations usually contain environmentally
sensitive and
expensive materials
HACCP, QA or regulatory guidelines require a
system to monitor environmental
conditions
Track and log all data collected by the system
Real-time over-the-phone alarm feature
Let the sensors and software do all the
monitoring work
