The IQPC GDP & Temperature Management Logistics Global Forum sure was a busy show this year. I must admit from the DeltaTrak perspective, that we had very high level of traffic to our booth.
Prior to the show, we had the opportunity to send out a few pre-show flyers and as a sponsor had an ad’ page in the guide. This gave the general attendees an insight into who DeltaTrak is today, and how far we have come within Life Sciences. (See photo with Blog entry)
My impressions were that the Cloud-Based tracking systems are moving more into the realm of popularity, offering everything from real time remote monitoring, to global positioning. In general, they offer the much talked about feature of “actionable data,” whereby corrective action can be taken to prevent excursions from ruining a high value shipment of drug related products at any point during the shipping route.
In one of my earlier blog postings, I tried to bring attention to what sharing data with a Cloud Service provider can mean in terms of security, and hope that many of the users, or service suppliers, pay attention to security and data ownership issues with relation to key product or patient information that could potentially be accessed.
For DeltaTrak, there was a lot of interest in the Flashtrak Telematics system (both fixed and mobile applications), with many of the trailer rental and leasing companies showing great interest in real time monitoring of cold chain with data capture through Wi-Fi/Cellular and remote Cloud Access. We have many trials with major clients in progress right now, and the results are extremely promising and, unlike other competitors, we let you own your data and store it with us or on your servers.
DeltaTrak displayed our Glycol Bottle Probe Logger (Model 20932), which is a product that many of the U.S. Health authorities are starting to embrace. I believe we are still the only version of this product type that is WHO pre-qualified. This product features an excellent price point for what is a complete unit with a certificate of compliance.
Our recently introduced USB PDF “on-board” logger was of great interest to many of the booth visitors. Like all of our products, this logger comes with the standard Shadow Log™ patented feature that will ensure that users get a trip report even if the operator forgets to start the unit.
All in all, IQPC was a busy show for DeltaTrak, with very active booth traffic, and a lot of new products to display to potential clients. Plus, we got the opportunity to see what the competition has to offer in the way of new products.
As usual, all comments are welcomed.
