DeltaTrak®, a leading innovator of cold chain and food safety solutions, will be hosting a free educational workshop, “Maintaining and Monitoring Temperature During Fresh Produce Handling”, at the PMA 2008 Fresh Summit in Orlando, Florida.  DeltaTrak is proud to have leading industry authorities, Dr. Jeff Brecht, University of Florida Center for Food Distribution and Retailing and Dr. Pat Brecht, PEB Commodities as presenters.

According to statistics, the produce industry loses 30-60% of its products worldwide due to spoilage and damage before they get to the consumer. This workshop will address optimum temperature conditions for fresh produce and then discuss best practice procedures.  The session will also focus on the challenge of postharvest losses and suggest solutions for maintaining product quality.

This workshop is being presented twice on Saturday, October 25, once at 1:30 and once at 3:30. Location is Room 110B on the West Concourse of the Convention Center. Space is limited, so please contact DeltaTrak if you would like to attend.  We can be reached at 800-962-6776, or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. Highlighted in the booth is the new CT Logger. This temperature recording device includes the patented Shadow Log™ feature that records temperature data even if an operator forgets to start the logger.
